Ego Endorses 4 in the At-Large Boston City Council Race

Dear Friends, Allow me to share the list of 4 candidates I will be voting for on November 3rd. I am asking everyone who voted for me in the preliminary, along with those who respect my opinion concerning the political future of this great city, to vote the "Ezedi Slate" on November 3rd. While our campaign did not capture one of the 8 seats, some of my fellow candidates and dear friends did-I hope you see the value in supporting these 4 great candidates!

John Connolly - John is a deeply sincere and authentic man. He is a good friend of mine and like me, has a heart for the youth and families of this great city. He brings years of experience as a school teacher and an environmentalist to his job as At-Large Councilor, and we will all benefit from keeping him in office.

Tomas Gonzalez - I am supporting Tomas Gonzalez because he has the experience in city government that we need in an At-Large City Councilor. I have been impressed with his commitment to the residents of Boston over the years, and I know that Tomas Gonzalez would be an advocate for all the people of Boston.

Tito Jackson - Throughout the preliminary I learned more about Tito and I was increasingly impressed and inspired by his campaign. I connected with his story and his message. Tito brings a fresh approach to government and provides a crucial link to young professionals across the city.

Ayanna Pressley - I am endorsing my longtime friend and colleague, Ayanna Pressley because we share the same values and I know Ayanna will provide the principled and positive leadership Boston needs. Ayanna has 14 years of government experience at all levels and knows how to make things happen. Furthermore, she is the only woman in the race-and electing a woman to Boston City Council At-Large is long overdue, hers is a historical candidacy!

Councilor Steve Murphy, Felix Arroyo, Andrew Keneally and Doug Bennett are all good people. But on November 3rd I am asking you to cast your vote for John Connolly, Ayanna Pressley, Tito Jackson and Tomas Gonzalez. Furthermore, I encourage you to get out and help them get elected by volunteering or contributing to their campaigns. There it is, the "Ezedi Slate". Please give it your full consideration. I hope you print out a copy of this email message and take it with you to the polls on November 3rd. And please, forward this message to others.

God bless you all and see you soon! Egobudike E. Ezedi, Jr. C - 617.293.7155

Ezedi Thanks Supporters

At-Large City Council Candidate Ego Ezedi was among seven candidates who fell short in Tuesday's preliminary contest.

“I’m honored to have been part of one of the most talented, diverse field of council candidates in recent memory. The city's a better place after this race, than it was before it,” Ezedi said. “I want to thank my supporters, the voters who welcomed me into their homes and shared their love for -- and frustrations with -- our city. And I want to thank everyone on my campaign team for putting in the late nights, and heading home with the hoarse voices and sore feet, that make a campaign run. Their hard work made this a remarkable, rewarding experience. Every one of them should be proud of their effort.

"With the campaign behind me, I'm looking forward to spending more time with my wife Melissa and daughter Trinity. And, as I said throughout the campaign, I'll continue working to bring Boston families the safer streets, better schools and robust economy they deserve."
